Clinical Practitioner Certification

New Certification!

Win-Win through Collaboration

For years thousands of you have been using TLC intervention programs. Collectively you represent the value of TLC interventions and its benefits to traumatized children, families and communities across the country. By identifying you as a practitioner using TLC programs and documenting your efforts we create a win-win outcome for everyone involved, including the children and families we all work so hard to help and support. The requirements for Clinical Practitioner are designed so you benefit from doing what you are already doing–using TLC's Structured Sensory Interventions– but now you can receive formal documentation of the outcomes of your efforts. TLC benefits by being able to collect documentation from across the country to validate the value of its programs or, in some cases, identify the need for possible different approaches and revisions specific to unique populations and professionals. In addition, Clinical Practitioners will now receive theses additional benefits:

  • Standard trauma assessment results will be provided on pre/post results with your clients which validates the use of the intervention and work you are doing while also supporting the focus of additional interventions you may recommend.
  • 15% discount on TLC materials, trainings and online courses.
  • $150 voucher for one-time use toward the purchase of TLC resources, intervention programs, trainings and online courses.
  • Become TLC’s first “go to” for referral source if you accept clients.
  • Become TLC’s first “go to” for participation in special projects.
  • Receive quarterly email alerts highlighting TLC recommended articles, books and trends in the field of trauma. (Must have email address)
  • Consultation within 24 hour of request as needed.
  • More immediate networking and connection to other TLC Certified Clinical Practitioners within or outside your area of expertise.
  • If you are interested in Accreditation, Certified Clinical Practitioners can receive Accreditation by TLC at a reduced rate of $400. Accreditation can be advertised by you as a result of having documentation of your work. Branding will be provided for duplication (i.e. “Accredited by the National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children”)
